Ingredients for 3 servings:
- 5 m.-sized potatoes
- 200 g bacon, uncooked (breakfast bacon)
- 1 large onion(s)
- 150 g cheese (Gryuere or Raclette)
- some butter
- some salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Cheese rösti
Peel the raw potatoes and grate them. Finely chop the bacon. Peel the onion, halve it, and slice it. Cut the cheese into very small cubes. Preheat the oven to 180-200 degrees Celsius. Heat a frying pan, melt a little butter, and lightly fry the bacon and onions. Add the potatoes, season with salt and pepper. Mix everything well and fry until you have a nice rösti. Place the rösti on an ovenproof plate, sprinkle with the cheese, and bake in the hot oven for about 10 to 12 minutes. Serve with fried eggs in portions and serve with some creamed spinach or leeks. Depending on your taste, you can also add a little garlic to the bacon and onions.
