Quick potato bread

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 400 g flour
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • 1 packet of dry yeast
  • 500 ml water
  • 200 g mashed potato powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 4 hours 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 5 hours 15 minutes

Combine flour, salt, sugar, dried yeast, and potato powder. Knead with water to form a dough. Let it rest for 4 hours. Shape the dough into a loaf (do not knead any further), place it on a baking sheet, and let it rise for 30 minutes at 50°C. Then bake for 30 minutes at 200°C. The bread can also be made with homemade mashed potatoes. I use 500g of creamy mashed potatoes and about 200ml of water.
