  • 50 g butter for spreading
  • some granulated sugar

wonderful for tea time in winter

Knead the first four ingredients into a dough with a dough hook and let it rest overnight in the refrigerator. The next day, roll out the dough and cut into oval “schnitzels.” Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Melt the butter and brush the schnitzels generously with the warm butter. Then sprinkle with sugar and bake in a hot oven (convection oven: 300°C) for about 10 minutes (be careful with newer models: they burn easily!) until golden brown. Serve with freshly whipped cream and fruit.
