Simple almond cookies

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g butter
  • 200 g powdered sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 4 tbsp milk
  • 150 g almond(s), chopped
  • 500 g flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tbsp condensed milk
  • 100 g almond(s), chopped
  • 50 g sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 12 hours 45 minutes

Make a batter from the dough ingredients and knead in the flour. Form 4 rounds, approximately 3 cm in diameter. Beat the egg yolk with the condensed milk. Mix the almonds and sugar. Brush the rounds of dough with the egg wash and then roll them in the almond sugar. Press the mixture down lightly. Let stand in the refrigerator overnight and cut thin slices of about 1 cm the next day. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 15 minutes.
