Sugar-free herbal candies

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 70 g erythritol (sugar substitute)
  • 30 g syrup (fiber syrup)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice, optional
  • 1 tbsp, stalked mint leaves or sage

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Low-carb

Dry the herbs, finely grind them, and strain them through a sieve to remove any coarse plant matter. Heat the erythritol and fiber syrup (add lemon juice if you like) to 150 degrees Celsius. Turn off the heat and let the mixture stand for 10 minutes. Stir in a spoonful of herbs. Pour into a silicone mold for chocolates or candy and let it set. The candy has almost no calories. The exact nutritional values depend on the fiber syrup used. I used a dark honey-flavored syrup for the sage candy and a light syrup for the mint candy to distinguish them visually.
