Marzipan macaroons

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 15 pieces of rusk
  • 6 eggs, of which the egg whites
  • 250 g powdered sugar
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 1 bottle of rum flavoring
  • 80 g almond(s) (flakes)
  • 375 g marzipan – raw mass
  • 1 pinch of salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour

Beat the egg whites until very fluffy. Crumble the onion rings into small pieces. Cut the marzipan into small pieces. Fold everything into the egg white mixture and mix well. Using two teaspoons, form not-too-thick macaroons onto baking paper. Bake at 200°C for 20 minutes.
