Kale stew without much work

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1,000 g kale, frozen
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 1 liter broth, strong
  • 700 g potatoes
  • 4 Mettenden, smoked
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • some clarified butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

simple, fast, classic, always works

Dice the onion and sauté in a little clarified butter until translucent. Season generously with salt and pepper. Add the kale, stir well, bring to a gentle heat, and pour in the broth. Cook the whole thing over medium heat with the lid closed for 20 minutes. In the meantime, peel and dice the potatoes. Once cooked, add the potatoes to the kale, stir well, replace the lid, and simmer for another 20 minutes. Then add the Mettenden sausages and cook for another 10 minutes. Finally, remove the sausages, slice them, and add them back in. Season again if desired, but this is usually not necessary.
