Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g butter / margarine
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 200 g flour
  • 75 g cornstarch
  • 50 g poppy seeds, ground
  • 150 g white chocolate coating for garnishing

Working time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour

Cream the butter/margarine with the sugar, vanilla sugar, and egg. Stir in the flour, cornstarch, and poppy seeds. Transfer the batter to a piping bag fitted with a large nozzle. Pipe the rings onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven (200g / fan oven 175°C) for 10-12 minutes until golden brown. Remove the rings from the baking sheet and allow to cool. Meanwhile, melt the chocolate coating in a bain-marie. Dip the rings halfway into the chocolate coating and allow to dry.
