Ingredients for 5 servings:
- 350 g flour
- 280 g sugar
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- 200 g hazelnuts, grated
- 2 eggs
- 280 g butter / unhydrogenated margarine in flakes
- Flour, for rolling out
- 250 g nougat
- Pistachios, finely chopped, for decoration
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Combine all dough ingredients in a bowl and knead into a smooth, pliable dough. Roll out on a lightly floured surface to the thickness of a knife’s back. Use a cookie cutter to cut out discs. Place on a greased baking sheet or baking paper. Place in an oven preheated to 175°C (350°F) and bake for about ten minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool, then spread the soft nougat mixture on top, not too thinly. Stack two discs on top of each other. Spread the surface with nougat and decorate with pistachios.
