Fine butter cookies with cardamom

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 500 g butter
  • 350 g sugar
  • 1 bag of cardamom
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 50 ml milk
  • 200 g almonds, chopped

Knead the flour, softened butter, sugar, cardamom, baking powder, and a pinch of salt into a smooth dough. Chill the dough for half an hour to one hour. Then form into balls about 1.5 cm in diameter, place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, and press down lightly. I fit 12 cookies on one sheet. Place a sheet of baking paper over the cookies and flatten them to the size of small palms. Brush the cookies with the egg wash and sprinkle with slivered almonds. Bake at 150°C (300°F) for about 10 minutes until golden brown.
