delicious with all curries and similar dishes

Wash the lemon thoroughly, dry it, and gently roll it up and down on the countertop. Then halve the lemon. Halve each half again and remove the seeds. Now cut the quarters into thin, even slices. Gently heat the curry powder, chili flakes, and olive oil in a non-stick pan, stirring occasionally. Then add the lemon slices and mix well with the oil, then add the sugar. Continue stirring over medium heat for one minute. The chutney can then be poured into a small jar and served hot or cold with curry dishes and rice. It adds an unusual and fresh kick to the dish.
