Leek vegetables with curry

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 3 stalk(s) leeks
  • 2 tbsp, leveled butter, salted
  • 2 tsp curry powder
  • 1 jar white wine, e.g. dry Pinot Blanc
  • 1 lemon(s)
  • 1 tsp coriander, ground
  • 250 ml cream
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Wash the leeks and cut the white and light green parts into short pieces. Sauté the leeks in butter, sprinkle with 2 teaspoons of curry powder, and baste with white wine. Add the lime juice and ground coriander seeds. Finally, pour in 250g of liquid cream. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Season to taste and add salt if desired. The leeks can be prepared in advance, freeing up time for other dishes—for example, at a Christmas dinner. They pair very well with roast beef, for example.
