delicious cookies for Christmas time

Preheat the oven to 160°C. Beat together the butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar until smooth. Add the eggs and beat well. Combine the flour, baking powder, and ground almonds (or hazelnuts) and stir in. Form the dough into cookies using a meat grinder or pastry press and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake the cookies for about 13 minutes at 160°C and let them cool completely on a wire rack. Keep an eye on the cookies in the oven; depending on your oven, they may be done earlier and become dark and dry. After they have cooled, you can cover the cookies completely or halfway with chocolate. The number of cookies you get depends on how thick and long you make them.
