Ginger rice

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 325 g rice
  • 2 cm ginger, or for fans something more, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 800 ml chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp oil, peanut, walnut or sesame oil
  • possibly pine nuts

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

delicious side dish

Heat the oil in a pan. Add the chopped ginger and garlic and fry briefly. Then add the rice and fry for a few minutes until translucent. Then add the chicken stock, bring to a boil briefly, and let the rice simmer for 20 minutes. Stir occasionally. If you like, you can also toast some pine nuts and stir them in at the end.
