Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 300g basmati
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil (walnut oil)
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 lemon(s), untreated, juice and grated zest
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ liter of water
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes
Heat the oil in a saucepan. Add the rice and stir until all the grains are coated with oil. Add the turmeric. Add about 1/2 liter of water and the lemon juice, enough to cover the rice by two fingers. Add salt. Place a tight-fitting lid on the pan and simmer over medium heat for 15 minutes. When the rice is tender, toss with the lemon zest and serve immediately.
