Oatmeal patties

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 100 g fine oat flakes
  • 100 g oat flakes, firm, crushed
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 100 ml milk
  • 1 onion(s)
  • e.g. chopped parsley
  • Oil, as desired

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Soak the oats in milk until completely absorbed. Finely chop the onion and fry it in oil. Mix the roasted onion with the oats. Season with pepper and salt. Add nutmeg and soy sauce, if desired. Once the mixture has cooled, stir in the egg (to bind it). Mix in plenty of chopped parsley (it makes the difference!). Form patties and fry very slowly, at least 15 minutes so the parsley doesn’t burn. Tip: You can also stir in very finely chopped carrots, bell peppers, chives, or cheese.
