Apple Crumble

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 apple
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon powder
  • 10 g butter, melted
  • 15 g oat flakes
  • 15 g wholemeal flour
  • 10 g hazelnuts, chopped or grated
  • 10 g sugar
  • 15 g butter, cold
  • 1 pinch(s) cinnamon powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

with oat flakes and hazelnuts

Wash the apple and cut into small cubes. Mix with the sugar, cinnamon, and butter and place in a small ovenproof dish. Mix the flakes with the flour, sugar, cinnamon, and hazelnuts. Add the butter in small flakes and knead into crumbles. Spread the crumble over the apples and bake the crumble in the oven at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for 25 minutes. We always serve it with vanilla sauce or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. If I’m making the crumble for the whole family, for example, with coffee, I use all 4 ingredients and bake it in a casserole dish; that easily serves 4-6 people. Sometimes I add a pinch of cardamom to the crumble.
