Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g walnuts, coarsely chopped
  • 100 g butter
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 250 g sugar
  • 250 g flour
  • ½ pack of baking powder
  • 1 tsp clove(s), ground
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 ½ tbsp cocoa powder
  • 250 g powdered sugar
  • 1 lemon(s), juice
  • some water
  • Fat and breadcrumbs for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

makes about 50 pieces

Cream the butter, eggs, and sugar until fluffy, then add the milk. Combine the flour and baking powder, then sift them into the mixture along with the cloves, cinnamon, and cocoa powder. Stir in the walnuts as well. Grease a baking tray and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Spread the dough on the tray and bake at 180°C (preheated) for about 20 minutes. The next day, make a glaze from powdered sugar, lemon juice, and water and spread it over the dough. Once dry, cut the dough into 2 x 8 cm strips. Tastes best when the spices have been left to infuse for a few days.
