Rice, a different take

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 200 g rice
  • ½ cup oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ liter vegetable broth
  • herbs as desired

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Fry the rice in hot oil, stirring constantly, and add the salt. Let the rice puff; the more puffed, the better. Before it starts to get too brown, add hot broth, bring to a boil, turn off the heat, and let the rice swell on the stovetop for 20 minutes. If desired, stir in the finely chopped herbs before serving. The rice will taste much nuttier, more intense, and more delicious this way.
