Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 slices of smoked pork
  • 50 g bacon, streaky
  • 750 g carrot(s)
  • 500 g pear(s)
  • 2 onions
  • 4 potatoes
  • ½ liter broth
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Slice the onions into rings. Brown them with the diced bacon in a casserole dish (or a glass Jenaer dish). Peel the pears and slice them thinly. Peel the carrots and potatoes and slice them thinly. Add them alternately to the onions, seasoning them with a little salt and pepper. Add enough stock to just cover the vegetables. Place the smoked pork slices on top. Cover and cook for 30 minutes. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve in the dish.
