Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 kg Kasseler neck
- 5 onions
- 1 pinch(s) of sugar
- 2 cans of sauerkraut
- 1 can/n pineapple pieces
- 2 cups of cream (200 ml each)
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 35 minutes
Skat pot
Cut the meat into large cubes (removing bones if necessary), sear until crisp, and remove from the pan. Sauté the onions until translucent, sprinkle with sugar, and caramelize. Add the meat, sauerkraut, cream, and drained pineapple pieces. Simmer for about 1 hour. Serve with mashed potatoes.
