Smoked tuna fillet on tomato and mozzarella caprese

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 small tomatoes
  • 1 ball of mozzarella
  • 2 tbsp Balsamic vinegar of Modena
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • some basil, chopped or shredded
  • Oregano, chopped or shredded
  • 2 tuna fillets, smoked (bought or home-smoked)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Wash the tomatoes, remove the stems, and finely slice them. Drain the mozzarella if necessary, then slice them finely. Layer the tomatoes alternately on the plates and season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle the herbs over the tomatoes; fresh ones will naturally be more flavorful. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar and finally place the tuna fillet on top. Delicious as a starter or with baguette, a roll, or bread, perhaps with a leaf salad, it makes a lovely main course.
