Honey mustard nuts with chili

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g mixed nuts, e.g. cashews, almonds and peanuts
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 25 g brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 ½ tbsp mustard, medium hot
  • ¼ tsp chili powder
  • 1 pinch of sea salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Preheat the oven to 175°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Heat the butter and brown sugar in a saucepan over low heat until the butter and sugar have melted. Remove from the heat, stir in the honey, mustard, chili, and salt, and then fold in the nuts until they are evenly coated. Remove the nuts from the pan and spread them evenly on the baking sheet. Place in the oven and bake for about 15 minutes. Remove, let cool, and store in an airtight container. The butter in the glaze will otherwise make it soft and sticky again if it gets too much moisture in the air.
