Quick sausage goulash with paprika

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 onion(s), red
  • 400 g bratwurst or bockwurst
  • 40 g tomato paste
  • 2 bell peppers
  • 400 cream
  • 1 tbsp paprika powder
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the onion and chop very finely. Slice the sausages and fry them in a pan with the onion. Wash the bell peppers, remove the cores and white membranes, and chop them finely. Fry them in the pan with the sausages. Add the tomato paste, fry, and deglaze with the cream. Simmer for 15 minutes, until the sauce is nicely thickened. Season with salt and pepper. Variation: If you like currywurst, you can also add a tablespoon of curry powder; it tastes great too!
