Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 g Brussels sprouts
- 700 g floury potatoes, possibly more, up to 1 kg
- some milk
- some butter
- 1 onion(s)
- some nutmeg, freshly grated
- some thyme
- salt and pepper
- salt water
Instructions
Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes
Peel and boil the potatoes. Remove the outer leaves from the Brussels sprouts and boil them in salted water. Combine the potatoes and sprouts in a large pot and mash with milk, salt, pepper, nutmeg, and a little thyme until smooth. I like to serve this with hearty smoked pork or bratwurst.
