Cauliflower and Broccoli Casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 750 g cauliflower, broccoli or mixed
  • 500 g potatoes
  • some salt
  • 30 g flour
  • 30 g butter
  • 250 ml vegetable stock
  • 250 ml milk
  • 200 g processed cheese
  • some pepper
  • some nutmeg
  • 2 slices of cheese (Gouda)

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Wash and chop the cauliflower and/or broccoli. Wash and slice the potatoes. Blanch everything in boiling salted water for 5 minutes. Sauté the flour with butter and deglaze with the broth and milk. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring. Stir in the cream cheese. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Grease a baking dish. Add the potato slices and cauliflower or broccoli. Pour the sauce over the potatoes and top with the cheese. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes.
