Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 600 g flour
  • 21 g yeast
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 300 ml milk
  • 75 g butter, soft
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 100 g sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Genuine Austrian specialty

Prepare a heavy yeast dough from all ingredients. Let the dough rise for about 45 minutes. Then form it into approximately 8 cm balls. Let them rise for another 10 minutes. Then steam the balls for about 20-30 minutes until tender.
