Swiss cheese puff pastry cake
Line greased (muffin) cups or a springform pan, including the sides, with puff pastry, so that the dough forms a bowl shape. Filling: Mix the cheese and flour and divide between the lined cups. Glaze: Mix the remaining ingredients and pour the mixture over the cakes. Make sure the cheese rises. Bake for about 15 minutes at 250°C on the lowest oven rack, until the cheese/glaze is golden brown. The puff pastry should rise during this time. Chäschüchli are a popular dish in Switzerland; you can often find them at street festivals there and frozen in every supermarket. Streuwürze (sprinkle seasoning) is apparently also a Swiss specialty. It’s something like Maggi in powder. It looks yellow. In Germany, it’s probably best replaced with Fondor.
