Fruity autumn salad

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 head of oak leaf lettuce, cleaned, torn into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 apple, pitted, diced
  • 1 orange(s), peeled and filleted
  • 10 white grapes, seedless, halved lengthwise
  • 5 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp vinegar (sherry)
  • 2 tbsp dry sherry
  • 1 ½ tsp mustard (blackcurrant)
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • pepper
  • Salt
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 50 g mixed nuts, roughly chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

With oak leaf salad, as a side dish or starter

Gently toss the salad and fruit together, whisk the dressing ingredients together thoroughly, and stir into the salad. Melt the butter in a small pan, add the nut mixture, and stir gently until lightly browned. Sprinkle over the salad. If you have a nut mixture with sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, or pine nuts, you can leave it whole. This salad is perfect as a fresh side dish or as an appetizer.
