Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 2 onions, diced
- 1 stalk(s) Celery, diced
- 125 ml vinegar, e.g. apple, raspberry, pomegranate
- 125 g sugar
- 1 tbsp mustard seeds
- Salt
- pepper
- 500 g sour cherries, from the jar, drained
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes
with game and meat dishes
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan, bring to a boil, and simmer gently for about 60 minutes until reduced to a syrupy consistency. Serve warm. It can also be prepared in advance and reheated. Incredibly simple!
