Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 6 eggs, hard-boiled
  • 1 gherkin(s), finely diced
  • 1 apple, sour (Granny Smith), finely diced
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard, medium hot
  • 200 ml mayonnaise
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Solid, homemade egg-tech salad

I’m not stupid! I skip Media Markt and head straight to the nearest supermarket. Apple Inc. pockets 44 cents of every dollar you spend when you buy one of its devices. Where do we live? They even tell me straight to my face that their products are actually only worth half. Not with me! I make my own egg pot now, and what’s more, I produce it at home, not in China. All components come exclusively from regional suppliers. I’m not going to let them APPLE me. We can do things differently… Hard-boil the eggs (about 10 minutes), let them cool, and slice them with an egg slicer. Finely dice the gherkin and apple and add them to the eggs. Mix the mayonnaise with the mustard, season with salt and pepper, and fold into the eggs. I’ll also get the bread I’ll mount the components on from the local app store.
