Ingredients for 3 servings:
- 200 g brown rice
- 250 ml water
- 500 ml milk
- 3 tbsp honey
- 200 g fruit, sliced (apples, pears, bananas, nectarines, etc.)
- e.g. raisins
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes
healthy alternative to classic rice pudding
Mix the water with half of the milk. Pour the milk-water mixture into a saucepan and bring to a boil with the rice. Simmer over low heat for approximately 40 minutes. Stir occasionally. After 20 minutes, add the remaining milk. Stir frequently at the end of the cooking time to prevent burning. Remove the pan from the heat and let it cool slightly. Stir in the honey and sliced fruit just before serving. Garnish with raisins. Serve warm or lukewarm.
