Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 180 g oat flakes
- 2 tbsp almonds or hazelnuts, ground
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- 75 g chocolate, dried fruits, nuts, desiccated coconut, additional seeds, 1 pinch of vanilla, 1 pinch of cinnamon etc., optional
- 7 tbsp coconut oil
- 5 tbsp honey or maple syrup
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes
makes approx. 12 – 15 muesli bars
Mix the oats, almonds or hazelnuts, salt, and sesame seeds well in a bowl. Prepare the optional ingredients as desired (e.g., chop the dried fruit very finely, and chop the chocolate and/or nuts as finely as possible, otherwise the granola bars will fall apart). Then add them to the oat mixture. Gently heat the coconut oil and honey and then add them to the oat mixture. Mix everything thoroughly. Line a small rectangular casserole dish or baking pan (approx. 20 x 30 cm) with parchment paper and pour the mixture into it. Spread it out evenly and press down firmly. Place in the refrigerator for half an hour to set. Once the set granola mixture has set, remove it from the pan and cut it into bars with a knife. The granola bars will keep for about two weeks if kept airtight in the refrigerator. It’s best to place a layer of parchment paper between each bar, as otherwise they will stick together. Tip: I heated the coconut oil and honey gradually in the microwave, stirring occasionally. Thanks to the many variations, everyone can create their own healthy granola bars to their own taste. Most importantly, it’s quick and the kitchen stays clean.
