Baked applesauce on vanilla cottage cheese

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 ½ apples, sour, e.g. Braeburn
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)
  • 170 ml water
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 150 g vanilla yogurt
  • 200 g cream cheese, grainy
  • 20 g almonds

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Wash, peel, and core the apples. Dice the apples into small cubes. Toss the diced apples with the lemon juice. Place in a saucepan and heat. Scrape out the vanilla pod. Add the pod and seeds to the apples along with the cinnamon and stir in. Add 100 ml of water, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes. Stir occasionally and add the remaining water until the apples have turned into a puree. Mix the vanilla yogurt and cottage cheese together and divide each into two bowls. Remove the vanilla pod from the puree and add it to the bowl with the cottage cheese. Sprinkle with cinnamon and almonds.
