Place the oats in a medium-sized breakfast bowl. Sprinkle the berries on top (fresh berries are not necessary). Pour the boiling water over them. Make sure the berries are well coated in the water so they thaw properly. Then stir the mixture together and add the coconut milk (or other milk; using cow’s milk will obviously make the recipe unvegan). Stir again. Finally, distribute the sliced banana over the porridge. Serve the porridge while still warm. Tips: If you like, you can sprinkle cinnamon or something similar on top. The amount of water varies depending on how runny you want the porridge to be. I prefer it to be quite runny and always add just enough water to slightly exceed the amount of the oatmeal and berry mixture. You can also vary the amount of milk if you want the porridge to be a little more or less runny. If you like it very sweet, you can add agave syrup or another sweetener. The banana usually provides enough sweetness compared to the rather sour berries.
