Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 g potatoes, cooked, from the previous day
- 1 m.-sized onion(s)
- 1 egg(s)
- 70 g Emmental cheese, grated
- ½ small bell pepper(s), red
- 1 tsp salt
- 50 g flour, more if necessary
- black pepper, freshly ground
- nutmeg
- Chives, fresh or frozen
- Breadcrumbs
- Oil for frying
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Mash the potatoes well with a fork or your hands. Dice the onion and bell pepper and add to the potatoes. Mix in the cheese, salt, chives, and seasoning. Then beat in the egg and finally add the flour. Mix everything well or knead with your hands. Form small patties and coat them in the breadcrumbs. Fry in batches in a pan with hot oil or other cooking fat until golden brown. Serve with a herb dip made from sour cream and crème fraîche and a mixed salad.
