  • 3 tbsp olive oil

Basic ingredient for various appetizers

Peel the garlic and finely grate or crush with a knife. Grind it with the salt in a mortar and pestle until it forms a paste. Gradually add the olive oil until a smooth, creamy consistency is achieved. Use in cold or warm appetizers, for garlic bread, etc. Season to taste with freshly ground black pepper, herbs, or other ingredients, depending on the use.
