- 750 g potato(s), waxy
- Oil for the deep fryer
- Salt

Wash and peel the potatoes, and cut into approximately 1 cm thick sticks. Wash the sticks again and dry thoroughly. Heat the oil in a deep pot or deep fryer. It’s hot enough when small bubbles rise from the handle of a wooden spoon dipped in the hot oil. Fry the potato sticks in three to four batches for about 2 minutes. Remove and drain on kitchen paper. Reheat the oil and fry the potatoes for about 4 minutes per batch until nice and crispy. Drain on kitchen paper, season with salt, and serve.
