- 500 g Brussels sprouts
- 1 tablespoon Extra virgin olive oil
- 50 g Bacon cubes
- Salt and pepper
- 3 tablespoon Water
- Clean the Brussels sprouts and cut into 3 to 4 slices, depending on their size.
- Heat the oil in a large pan and fry the bacon cubes in it. When they start to get crispy, add the Brussels sprouts slices and simmer until they start to brown on the underside.
- Now sprinkle with salt and pepper, add the water, put a lid on the pan and cook the vegetables in their own juice for about 7 minutes over a mild heat, shaking the pan from time to time.
- I served this bacon Brussels sprouts with a braised lamb roast today.
