Kohlrabi soup with Maultaschen

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 large kohlrabi
  • 1 tsp crackling lard
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp broth, granulated
  • 100 ml cooking cream
  • 1 tsp tomato paste
  • 4 Maultaschen
  • 1 can mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 dashes soy sauce
  • n. B. Salt
  • some chili
  • 1 tsp, levelled honey

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Peel and roughly chop the kohlrabi, onion, and garlic, and cook in a pot with 1/2 liter of water for about 20 minutes. Add the lard, tomato paste, and granulated stock. Then place everything in a blender and puree vigorously. Meanwhile, add the cream. Return everything to the stovetop over low heat and add the mushrooms. Cut the Maultaschen into strips and add them as well. Bring gently to a boil. Season to taste with chili, salt, lime, soy sauce, and honey, and serve with fresh herbs.
