Filinchen – Toast

Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 20 slices of toast (Filinchen, special crispbread/toast bread, alternatively use light + cross)
  • 10 slice(s) ham, raw
  • 10 apricots
  • 10 slices of cheese (Gouda or Tilsiter)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

20 slices of Filinchen bread are equivalent to 1 package of crispbread, similar to a light crispbread. You can also use Wasa’s “Leicht + Cross” instead. On a baking sheet lined with baking paper, place two slices of bread close together and top with the raw ham (chopped if children are eating it). Wash and chop the apricots, and arrange them on top of the ham. Sprinkle with cheese. Preheat the oven to 180°C and bake for 10 minutes. Serve while still hot. Tip: For children, pipe tomato ketchup faces on the bread as decoration.
