Spinach and Macaroni Casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g macaroni
  • 750 g leaf spinach, frozen
  • 400 ml cream
  • 6 tomatoes
  • 400 g feta cheese
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • salt and pepper
  • Nutmeg, freshly grated

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

quick to make and really tasty

Thaw the spinach. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Meanwhile, bring the spinach and cream to a boil. Finely dice or press the garlic and add it. Season with nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Preheat the broiler and wash the tomatoes, remove the stems, and dice them. Crumble some of the feta cheese. Mix the feta crumbs, tomatoes, spinach, and pasta and place in a shallow baking dish. Season with pepper and salt and crumble the remaining feta cheese over the top. Bake under the broiler for about 5-10 minutes, until the feta is lightly browned.
