Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 roll of topping dough
- 100 g bacon slices
- 100 g cooked ham
- 170 g grated cheese, e.g. Gouda
- 100 g herb cream cheese
- 50 g spring onions
- 100 g sheep’s cheese
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes
First, chop the cooked ham, spring onions, and feta cheese into small pieces and place them in a bowl. Add 100g of grated cheese and mix by hand. Roll out the puff pastry and spread evenly with herb cream cheese. I use a fish knife for this, as its shape makes it ideal for spreading the cream cheese evenly around the edges. Place the bacon on the spread puff pastry and spread the contents of the bowl evenly over it. Roll the whole thing into a spiral and cut into slices (I’ve found that some puff pastries are easier to slice if you wrap them in aluminum foil and store them in the refrigerator overnight). Place the slices on a baking tray and sprinkle with a little grated cheese. Place the tray in a preheated oven at 180-200°C (fan oven) for 25-30 minutes. (You can also add 5-10 minutes to the instructions for your puff pastry.) Use your own oven’s experience! Check the browning occasionally. For the veggie rolls, simply add 150g of mozzarella instead of the cooked ham and bacon.
