Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 pizza dough, fresh from the refrigerated section
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 100 g bacon cubes
  • 150 g Emmental cheese, grated
  • little salt
  • Pepper, from the mill

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

quick and easy for picnic or buffet, makes about 12 snails

Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius (425 degrees Fahrenheit). Unwrap the pizza dough, roll it up, and let it rest for 10 minutes. Spread the sour cream over the pizza dough. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Sprinkle the bacon cubes and cheese on top. For vegetarians, I always make 1/3 without the bacon. Now roll the dough up long-side down and cut into approximately 1.5 cm thick slices. Place the snails on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes. The snails are delicious warm with salad or cold as a snack.
