Quark balls

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 250 g quark
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 125 g sugar
  • ½ package baking powder
  • ½ packet of vanilla sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Make a batter from the first 7 ingredients. Heat the oil in a saucepan over medium heat. The oil shouldn’t be too hot, or the quark balls will burn. Using two teaspoons of the batter, form small balls and fry them in the hot oil. When cooked, they will float to the top and be golden brown. Don’t add too many at once, as the balls will still rise. Drain the balls on kitchen paper and roll them in the sugar.
