Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 white bread (preferably white loaf, 500 g)
- 50 g butter
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 150 g raw ham, thinly sliced
- 200 g cheese, sliced
- Salt and pepper, white
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Cut the bread at 1 cm intervals. The slices should be connected at the bottom. Cream the butter until creamy, then mix well with the tomato paste, mustard, salt, and pepper. In every second cut, spread both slices with tomato butter and fill with 1 slice of ham and 1 slice of cheese. Then wrap the bread with cotton string. Place on a sufficiently large sheet of aluminum foil, close the foil over the bread, and bake in a preheated oven at 220°C for 10-15 minutes, until the cheese begins to melt. Serve the bread in the foil. At the table, open the aluminum foil, remove the string, and cut the bread along the unfilled cuts to create sandwiches.
