  • 1 tbsp water
  • 125 g cheese, grated
  • 125 g butter
  • 1 egg yolk
  • possibly spice(s) for sprinkling

Instructions

Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and water. Stir in the cheese, add the fat in small pieces, and mix everything into a smooth dough. Roll out thinly and cut out small round cookies using the rim of a glass. Brush the cookies with egg yolk and sprinkle with spices (e.g., oregano or caraway) if desired. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for about 20 minutes on the middle rack at 150°C.
