Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 120 ml soy sauce
  • 15 g sugar
  • ½ tsp chili pepper, dried
  • 1 clove(s) garlic, squeezed
  • 1.3 kg pork fillet(s), thinly sliced
  • 4 leeks, cut into thin rolls
  • 3 clove(s) garlic, squeezed
  • ½ head of white cabbage, shredded
  • 450 g noodles (egg noodles), uncooked
  • 60 ml soy sauce
  • ½ cup(s) shrimp, cooked, shelled
  • 120 ml cane sugar (molasses)
  • 15 ml soy sauce
  • 15 ml water
  • Oil (peanut oil)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

For the marinade, combine 120 ml soy sauce, 15 g sugar, hot chili pepper, and a crushed garlic clove in a large, deep bowl and mix well. Add the meat and let it simmer for at least 1 hour. Heat peanut oil in a wok and fry the leek, garlic, and white cabbage until tender, but still soft. Remove from the wok. Remove the pork from the marinade and fry in the hot oil until cooked through. Cook the noodles in plenty of salted water, drain well. Add the noodles, cabbage, and shrimp to the pork, mix well, and add soy sauce to taste. For the sweet and sour sauce, which you serve with the pork, combine molasses, soy sauce, and water and mix together.
