Casserole with meat and carrots
Brown the minced meat over high heat without adding any fat for about 3-4 minutes. Add the onion and garlic and cook for another 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Stir in the flour and cook for another 1 minute. Gradually add the beef broth and tomato paste. Then add the celery, 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley, and the Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer on low for 20-25 minutes. Then transfer everything to a casserole dish. Meanwhile, cook the potatoes and carrots in a pot of boiling water for 10 minutes. Drain and mash. Add the butter, milk, and the remaining chopped parsley to the potato and carrot mash. Mix together and season with salt and pepper. Spoon over the meat. Bake in a preheated oven at 190°C for about 45 minutes. Serve hot.
