Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 350 g spelt flour
  • 150 g wheat flour
  • 350 ml water, lukewarm
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp caraway powder
  • 1 packet of dry yeast or 1/2 cube of fresh yeast
  • Flour for the work surface
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 6 hours 5 minutes

Make a yeast dough from the first 6 ingredients and let it rise, covered, for 3 hours. Once the dough has doubled in size, fold it frequently on a floured surface. Grease a loaf pan and place the dough in it. Cover and let it rise for at least another 2 hours. Place a bowl of water in a convection oven, then preheat it to 160°C and bake the bread for about 50 minutes.
